शुक्लां ब्रह्मविचार सार परमामाद्यां जगद्व्यापिनीं

वीणा-पुस्तक-धारिणीमभयदां जाड्यान्धकारापहाम्‌।

हस्ते स्फटिकमालिकां विदधतीं पद्मासने संस्थिताम्‌

वन्दे तां परमेश्वरीं भगवतीं बुद्धिप्रदां शारदाम्‌ ॥२॥

॥1॥ Meaning:

Namaskar to Goddess Saraswati, who is pure white like jasmine, with the coolness of the moon, the brilliance of snow and the radiance of pearls; and who are clothed with pure white robes, whose hands are adorned with harps and bounty-bearing sticks; And one who is seated on a pure white lotus, who is always the adoration of Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, Lord Shankar and other deities, O Goddess Saraswati, please protect me and remove my ignorance completely.

॥१॥ अर्थ:

देवी सरस्वती को नमस्कार, जो चमेली की तरह शुद्ध सफेद है, चंद्रमा की शीतलता के साथ, बर्फ की चमक और मोतियों की माला की तरह चमक; और जो शुद्ध श्वेत वस्त्रों से ओढ़े हुए हैं, जिनके हाथ वीणा और वरदान देने वाले लाठी से सुशोभित हैं; और जो शुद्ध सफेद कमल पर विराजमान है, जो हमेशा भगवान ब्रह्मा, भगवान विष्णु, भगवान शंकर और अन्य देवों के आराध्य हैं, हे देवी सरस्वती, कृपया मेरी रक्षा करें और मेरी अज्ञानता को पूरी तरह से दूर करें ।

॥2॥ Meaning:

One who is fair in color, who is the essence of Brahman, who pervades the universe, with the veena in one hand and the Vedas in the other, the giver of fearlessness and the remover of ignorance, seated with a rhinestone rosary in his hand. I bow to the one lotus, the source of all wisdom, that Maa Saraswati.

जो वर्ण में गोरा है, जो ब्राह्मण का सार है, जो ब्रह्मांड में व्याप्त है, एक हाथ में वीणा और दूसरे में वेदों के साथ, निर्भयता के दाता और अज्ञान को दूर करने वाले, हाथ में स्फटिक माला के साथ बैठे हैं। एक कमल, समस्त बुद्धि का स्रोत, उस माँ सरस्वती को मैं प्रणाम करता हूँ।
